The Weekly P3 Athlete Wrap Up!
Here at P3 we have loads of amazing athletes come through the doors and we thought it was about time we start celebrating the big and little victories and, the up’s and down’s of being a professional, elite, weekend warrior or social athlete.
Gawain Johnstone
Last weekend at the Arnold Classic Australian tour, Gawain Johnstone pulled 372.5kg to become the 2nd man in Australian history (1st Australian born) to total 1000kg in a power-lifting meet. Wow!! And yes that is the real Arnie!
James ‘Patto’ Pattinson
He took 5 for 7 while playing for Victoria against Queensland in the Shield Finals. He has also claimed 20 wickets in the past 4 Sheffield Shield Games. Legend.
Dandenong Rangers
It was a tough end to a terrific #WNBL17 season for the WNBL Dandenong Rangers who played in the Grand Final last Friday night at Dandenong Stadium, going down to the Sydney Uni Flames. The Ranger girls are frequent visitors to P3 enjoying weekly recovery sessions in between training and prepping for the next game.
WPA Barbarians
The Victorian team, WPA Barbarians went on tour last weekend to Adelaide and came away with one victory and one loss. They have one road tour left for the season and have done well considering the rocky start and in-season they have had with their team being pulled out of the competition two days before the season and Water Polo Australia stepping in to ensure there was a playing group in Victoria for both the men and women. Pictured below is team veteran Alli Van Omen and owner of Without Limits Health.
